who we are

family ministries residential programs

Our residential programs are available when a child cannot successfully reside in a family setting due to the current family situation or treatment needs. These homes serve abandoned, abused, neglected and at-risk children and teens in Tennessee and Arkansas through both short-term and long-term residential programs.

When young people arrive at Free Will Baptist Family Ministries, a plan is put in place to address their needs. Through the love and support of our trained house parents, counselors, therapists and support staff, they are shown the model of a Christian family, and help is available for their spiritual, emotional, social and physical needs. Our house parents love each child unconditionally and work to bring them to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Adolescent Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program

Our adolescent alcohol and drug treatment program is an intensive 60-day module to help those dealing with addictions and addresses the treatment needs of young people exhibiting behaviors relating to the moderate abuse and misuse of alcohol and drugs.  The program works with them through a wide range of techniques and with their families, as well, in dealing with their substance abuse. We are thankful the program has a very high success rate because we realize only God can change a heart. We are a Matrix certified site for the treatment of Alcohol and Drugs, meeting the fidelity measurements set forth by the Matrix Institute (providing services for maximum effectiveness).  To learn more about the Matrix Institute, please visit www.matrixinstitute.org.

Program Goals and Mission

The goal for the young people in our programs is to transition into one of our residential homes and then, eventually, reunite with their families. If that is not possible, they go to live with one of our Christian foster families. In some cases, adoption of children presently in foster care is a possible option. Florence Crittenton Home in Little Rock, Arkansas, offers both long-term residential and emergency shelter care. Crisis services are available for immediate intervention in emergency placement. In many situations, sibling groups are able to remain together during this turbulent time in their lives.
